Independence
A report is only worth something if nobody can buy it. Here is what we commit to.
Facts, not a verdict
Taumin describes what it observes and where each piece of evidence comes from. It does not say whether a website complies with the law: that is the job of a lawyer or an authority. Our reports avoid judgemental words and speak of signals, reliability and level of risk.
No commission
When a report suggests an action, such as completing a legal notice, it points to a type of professional (accountant, lawyer, chamber of commerce, the site’s web provider), never to a named company. No referral is paid.
No paid badge
We do not sell an “approved” badge. A badge bought by the business it rates tells the public nothing. Our method is public: anyone can see what we check and how.
No single score
Use of AI, transparency and risk stay three separate scores. Merging them would give a false impression of precision.
No real website used as an example
Our articles and demonstrations rely on test sites we built ourselves, or describe cases without naming them. A report on a real website is only given to the business that asked for it.
Mistakes corrected and dated
When we get something wrong, we correct it and say so. Articles show the date they were last updated.
